Leo AntonyTagore – President

Holds a Ph.D degree in English Literature. Presently the administrator of De Britto Higher secondary school, Devakottai, Ramnad–District, Tamilnadu. Former Rector of St.Joseph’s College, Trichy. Has undergone exposure at the international level on involving university students in community development activities. One of the founding members of PSA.

A. John Peter – Secretary

Holds a masters’ degree in sociology and labour studies. Has attended training and exposure on micro-finance skills conducted by Card Bank, Philippines, ASA – Bangladesh, FWWB – India and GTZ (Germany). Undergone three months intensive training on organic farming conducted by LEISA-Foundation, Netherlands at Auroville, Pondicherry. One of the founding members of PSA.

P. Tamil Selvi - Treasurer

Holds a masters degree in Commerce. Has more than 15 years experience working with rural poor and rural women in the areas of forming self help groups and managing micro –finance services. Has undergone training on participatory planning and evaluation conducted by SEARCH –organisation, Bangalore.

M. Rex

Graduated in Physics. Has undergone training on development communication and street theatre by Sri. Badalsarkar. Has experience in preparing documentary films on development issues. Conducts training to development workers in street theatres on social issues.

J. Christy Subathra

Holds a Masters degree in women studies and education. Conducts orientation on gender sensitization and parenting. Has published books and magazines on women emancipation and feminism. Has translated a number of books from English to Tamil on gender equity. A founding member of CREA Children’s Academy, an innovative school for rural children.

R. Punithavalli

Holds a master’s degree in social dynamics and education. Managing a Matriculation higher secondary school for rural children at Srimushnam. Conducts training on environment concerns and preventive health.

D.Sherifa Khanam

Heads a women’s organization ”STEPS” which works on issues related to women in general and Muslim women in particular.

Educates them about women’s rights and gender justice. Provides legal aid services to women living in difficult situations.

S. Zakir Hussain

Holds a Masters degree in English Literature and education. Presently working as an English professor in Coimbatore. Conducts English coaching classes during summer holidays to rural students to improve their learning standard.

Vasanathan.R

A skilled and qualified English language professor with more than 17 years of teaching experience, specialised in implementing and developing educational tools and methods in English Language Teaching for school and college classrooms. Contributor of the concept of “Regular Games-Assisted Language Teaching” to the world of research in ELT. Comfortable with all teaching environments and with a track record of research success with multiple publications.
